Office Rules

Collabor8te is shared by many different people and organisations. Everyone has the right to a productive and enjoyable working environment.

We have only a few rules and try to keep everything as simple as possible. We ask though that you note and keep to these important ones below please.

Desk or Meeting room?

Meeting rooms are subject to our fair use policy. This means you should choose the most appropriate sized room as available and use them only where a desk is not possible.

Working alongside your colleagues? Please use desks so the meeting rooms are available for meetings.

Need to talk something through with your colleagues and it might take more time? Please book a meeting room of an appropriate size to not disturb other coworkers.

Have a meeting? Book a meeting room of appropriate size.

Making a call?

There are no quiet zones, you can make/receive business calls at your desk according to the following etiquette please

  • Short phone calls and Zoom meetings when you are a participant, and not speaking all the time

  • Refrain from using speakerphone in the open plan areas

  • If you are presenting, making longer calls or a batch of calls, please book a phone booth

  • Always use headphones for Zoom & Teams meetings

  • Webinars are fine to watch at your desk

Are you booked but not coming in after all?

Please cancel your booking as soon as possible or let us know so the meeting room or the desk can be used by someone else.

Cup of tea or lunch?

Our kitchens are self-service, please help us to keep them clean by putting dirty dishes on the tray by the sink (no need to wash up). To keep the fridges tidy, every Friday we put a sticker on food left in fridges and if it is there the next Friday we throw it away.

Overheard something?

We are a shared space and it might happen that you hear someone talking on the phone or outside the meeting room. All our members agree to treat anything overheard while in the office with absolute confidence (non-disclosure agreement).

Have guests coming?

We are always happy to meet and greet your guests when they arrive. However they are coming to visit you, so please be in the office for the time they are here. They shouldn’t be staying in after you left Collabor8te.

If you have any questions or something is happening that makes your Collabor8te time unpleasant or is stopping you from having a productive day, please, let us know. We will do our best to resolve the situation discreetly and fairly.
